Going on Holiday in 2017

In 2017 54% of adult Poles went away for at least two days, so slightly more than in 2016 (a rise of 3 percentage points). It is also the highest percentage since CBOS began asking about leisure trips that include at least one overnight stay.

As in previous years, in 2017 most of those asked took their holidays in Poland. Differences in whether people went away or not, both within Poland and on trips abroad, depended, as in earlier years, on their level of education: the more educated respondents were, the more likely they were to take breaks away, both at home and abroad.
