Satisfaction with Life in 2025

Polish people are most often satisfied with such aspects of their lives as where they live (86%), their social life (84%) and their children (73%). Somewhat less frequently are they satisfied with their careers (60%), education and qualifications (70%), standard of living (70%), relationships (69%), health (60%) and prospects for the future (55%). What least often brings them satisfaction is their financial situation (44%).
However, a comparison with the results for 2024 shows that satisfaction with their financial situation has in fact jumped from 38% to 44%. Meanwhile, the result for education and qualifications has reached a record level, increasing from 67% to 70%. Likewise, more people than the year before say they are satisfied with their careers (a rise from 66% to 71% among people who have ever been in work).

More on this subject in the CBOS report.
This ‘Current Events and Problems’ survey (428) was conducted using a mixed-mode procedure on a representative sample of named adult residents of Poland, randomly selected from the National Identity Number (PESEL) register. Respondents independently selected one of the following methods: Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI); Computer Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI), respondents receiving researchers’ telephone numbers in an introductory letter from CBOS; Computer Assisted Web Interview (CAWI), where respondents filled in the online questionnaire independently, gaining access by means of a login and password provided in an introductory letter from CBOS. In all three cases the questionnaire had the same structure and comprised the same questions. The survey was carried out between 27 November – 8 December 2025 inclusive on a sample of 948 people (62% using the CAPI method, 24.8% CATI and 13.2% CAWI). CBOS has been conducting statutory research using the above procedure since May 2020, stating in each case the percentage of personal, telephone and internet interviews.
