Holiday in 2015 and plans for 2016
In 2016, slightly less adult Poles spent at least two-day on out-of-home holiday than the year before (51%, a decrease by 2 percent points), however, it is still significantly more than in 2012-2013. Last year, as well as in previous years, the Poles most often relaxed within the country (43% of the total), and one fifth chose a holiday abroad.
In 2016, 56 % of adults are going to leave their permanent residence for at least two days in order to rest or travel. More over a half of those who plan such a trip this year (51%, i.e. 29% of the total) is going to rest in Poland only, while every ninth (11%, i.e. 6% of the total) would like to spend his/her time abroad only, and almost every third (32%, i.e. 18%) would combine both holiday – home and abroad.
