Fewer People Have Been on Holiday
In 2020 only one in five adult Poles went away on a week’s holiday, which is the lowest result since 1992, when records began, and shows a drop of 15 percentage points on 2019. The proportion of people going on holiday has been at a comparably low level only a few times: in 1992, 1994 and 2005.

The effect of the Covid-19 pandemic is also clear on leisure trips with at least one overnight stay. Only 39% of adults went away in 2020 on a two-day break, a drop of 16 percentage points on 2019 and the lowest result since records about this began in 2012. In the year of the pandemic both holidays at home and abroad were affected.
