Election to the European Parliament
Interest in May European Parliament elections among the Poles is rather small, however, the results are close to those noted in the corresponding pre-election period five years ago. The proportion of interviewees not interested in the election is the highest observed.
About one third of Poles (34%) is planning to take part in the election to the European Parliament i.e. less than in February and March 2009 when almost two fifths of interviewees (39%) planned to vote. However, it should be emphasised that actual turnout is usually lower than declared.
More on that issue can be found in the CBOS report in Polish: “Polish Eurodeputies and Elections to the European Parliament”.
The data comes from the surveys “Current Problems and Events” conducted in years 2003–2014.
