Opinions on Permission for Religious Slaughter
Recently there has been an ongoing debate on the issue of religious slaughter in Poland. Religious slaughter is a practice of slaughtering livestock in accordance with Muslim and Jewish religious laws which require killing animals without stunning.
Majority of Poles is against legal regulations allowing for slaughter without stunning (65%), with two fifths (41%) strongly expressing their objection. One in five is for permitting this practice (21%). One in seven did not express their opinion (14%).
