The Use of Mobile Phones while Driving
During the summer months there is usually a rise in the number of road traffic accidents, which is caused by the fact that traffic is heavier during this period. The use of mobile phones while driving is more and more often said to contribute to dangerous situations on the roads.
Although virtually all the people polled (96%) thought that using mobile phones while driving a car was dangerous, and almost half of these (47%) thought that it was still dangerous even when using a hands free system, yet a large number of drivers use their mobile phones for various purposes while driving. Over two fifths of drivers (44%) admitted they sometimes carry on a telephone conversation while driving.
