Workplace Harassment

If we took into consideration only court statistics or information gathered by the National Labour Inspectorate, we would have to conclude that bullying at work is very rare in Poland. However, as it is agreed by the experts in the field, the registered cases are only the tip of the iceberg. In one of the latest surveys we asked about experiences of harassment in the workplace.
Almost one in four workers declare that in their workplaces some employees were harassed by their supervisors and one in six admit that some were harassed by their co-workers. In total 28% of workers acknowledge the cases of bullying (either by the supervisors or co –workers) in their workplaces, including 8% admitting that such situations were frequent.
More on that issue can be found in the CBOS report in Polish.
The data comes from the survey “Current Problems and Events” conducted from 8 to 14 May 2014.
