In-migrant and Native Rural Residents
In-migrant rural residents, i.e. people who live in the countryside but declare urban origin, account for about 8% of all rural residents.
Most of them (63%) have at least secondary education. That differentiates them from native rural residents, majority of whom (65%) have just primary or basic vocational education.
What else differentiates native and in-coming residents of rural areas? More on that issue can be found in a report in Polish: “Polish Countryside – Native and New Residents”.
The data comes from the surveys “Current Problems and Events” conducted from May to July 2013.
