The plan to ban Sunday trading has almost twice as many supporters (61%) as opponents (32%).

Attitudes to this proposal are very much split along lines of religiosity. The more frequent the declared participation in religious practices, the greater the support for a ban on Sunday trading. Among those participating in religious practices several times a week support is almost universal (93%), while people not practising a religion at all, whose support for bringing in the ban is comparatively lowest, minimally more often reject the idea (48%) as accept it (46%).
