How Safe Is Our Money?
The overwhelming majority of people in Poland (84%) have bank accounts and over two thirds think that money deposited there is safe.
Comparing these results with earlier ones, it would be fair to say that this year’s figures are the best for ten years.
Opinions about the safety of bank deposits are markedly different depending on social group. Those who were sure the money was safe tend to be better-educated, better-off, younger and living in larger towns. In addition, positive opinions were voiced by respondents who appreciate the work of the Financial Supervision Authority and think that the banks are adequately supervised.
